About the Explanatory Note

At Emeklilik Gözetim Merkezi Anonim Şirketi (“Pension Monitoring Center,” hereinafter referred to as “PMC,” or “Center”), we make use of certain technologies such as cookies, pixels, and GIFs to help improve your experience during your visits to our online media. The use of these technologies is conducted in accordance with the legislation we are subject to, in particular with the ‘Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data,’ (“PPD Law”).

The purpose of the ‘Explanatory Note on Cookies,’ is to inform you about the processing of personal data obtained through Cookies by Website-users/members/visitors (“Data Subject”) during the visits made to the website we operate at “https://www.egm.org.tr” (“Website”). In this explanatory note, we explain what kind of cookies we use on our website and how you can control these cookies.

PMC may opt out of using the cookies on our website, modify their types or functions, or add new cookies to our website. Therefore, we reserve the right to amend the provisions of this explanatory note at any time. PMC uses different types of cookies on its website for various purposes (both first party cookies placed by the websites you visit and third party cookies placed by other servers outside the website you visit) and processes your personal data via these cookies. These aims are mainly:

    • To perform the basic functions necessary for the operation of the Website. For example; members who log on do not need to re-enter the password when visiting different pages on the Website.

At the PMC, your personal data covered under the scope of the explanatory note is not shared with third parties.

What are your rights as a Data Subject?

In accordance with article 11 of the PPD Law, Data Subjects have the following rights:

  • Find out whether their personal data has been processed,
  • Request information about their personal data if it has been processed,
  • Find out the purpose of processing their personal data and whether it has been used in conformity with that purpose,
  • Find out the domestic/foreign third parties to whom their personal data has been provided,
  • Request correction of their personal data if it has been processed with omissions or inaccuracies, and request notification of the third parties to whom their personal data has been provided, about the transactions performed in this way,
  • Request deletion or destruction of their personal data, and request notification of the third parties to whom their personal data has been provided, about the transactions performed in this way, if the reasons for processing no longer apply to their personal data, which in any event, has been processed in accordance with the provisions of the PPD Law and other applicable laws;
  • Object to any outcome of an exclusively automated analysis of their processed data that has had a negative result for the data subject involved,
  • Request to be indemnified in the event of any losses incurred due to any illegal processing of their personal data.

If you submit your requests regarding these rights using the methods set out in the Pension Monitoring Center Data Subject Application Form, your application will be processed and concluded as soon as possible and within 30 (thirty) days at the latest. Although the PMC does not charge any fees for the requests in principle, the PMC still reserves the right to charge fees based on the tariffs set by the PPD Board.

The Data Subject warrants that the information cited in the Explanatory Note on Cookies is complete, accurate and updated, and that the Data Subject shall immediately update them if there is any change to this information. The PMC assumes no responsibility if the Data Subject fails to provide updated information.

The Data Subject acknowledges that if he/she makes a request preventing the Center from using any of his/her personal data, then he/she will not be able to fully benefit from the functionality of the Website, and personally bear the full responsibility in this context.
