G.73 The graph above indicates distribution of retired participants, who have opted out of the individual pension system (IPS)
or prefered to stay in the system and took programmed withdrawals, according to time spent in the individual pension
system. Even if the participant has transferred accumulations in life insurance or provident funds to the system and has
fulfilled the conditions for retirement, he must also stay in the system for at least 36 months. The calculation of this
period starts from the date of the first transfer. Provident funds include funds from associations, foundations and other
organizations with retirement provisions. Analysis does not include data of participants who transferred of accumulations
from provident funds to the individual pension system to take programmed withdrawal.

G.74 Retired participants are analyzed according to provinces as of 2016 year-end. Number of retired participant are
proportioned to number of participants in related province for ratio of retired participant according to provinces. Top 20
provinces given on graph has 86.5% and first three provinces has 58.4% of total number of retired participants.
Number of retired participant in first three provinces are İstanbul 15,180, Ankara 6,468 and İzmir 4,235 respectively.
